In small power transmission and transformation equipment such as distribution boxes, switchgear,power distribution cabinets, and outdoor terminal boxes, humid air can easily cause rust and corrosion of metal bodies and shorten the service life of the equipment. The insulation distance in the sealed box is compact. If the air is too humid and condensation occurs, it will cause serious consequences such as tripping or even burning the equipment.
In coastal areas, the air has a lot of moisture, and traditional heating and exhaust dehumidification methods are difficult to achieve.
Especially when there is a large temperature difference between the inside and outside of the cabinet or during the wet rainy season, severe condensation will occur, which directly threatens the power transmission and transformation equipment.
Through a large number of on-site surveys, the environment of the power operating system is generally damp, and this harsh electrical operating environment is extremely unfavorable to the service life of electrical equipment and the operating environment of the power system, such as: switch cabinets are exposed to damp and flash, and power distribution cabinets are exposed to damp and mildew.
Corrosion, moisture and condensation in power distribution cabinets and power distribution boxes, electrical short-circuits of busbar bridges, and moisture accumulation in cable trenches often occur.
How can we effectively solve such problems, make the electrical operating environment reach the best state, and reduce the hidden dangers of power system operation?
1. Improve the environment of the power distribution room.
1.)It is strictly forbidden to pile up debris in the power distribution room, so that the indoor equipment is free of dust, sludge, dust, and water on the ground, and the environment is clean and tidy.
2.)The power distribution room has sufficient lighting and good ventilation equipment.
3.) The indoor ambient temperature in the power distribution room should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius, and the relative humidity should be less than 80%.
4.)The power distribution room has unobstructed drainage, and there is no leakage of water on the roof and underground. The facilities for preventing insects and rodents are perfect.
5.) The power distribution room shall be treated as a waterproof compartment.
2. Install dehumidification equipment.
1.) Dehumidifier. The fan draws moist air into the machine and passes through the heat exchanger. At this time, the moisture in the air condenses into water droplets and becomes dry air to be discharged outside the machine. This cycle reduces the indoor humidity.
2.) Air conditioning dehumidification equipment. Dehumidification is to use the low-temperature condensation effect of the air conditioner. It can be modified with an air conditioner.
The condenser and the evaporator can be placed in the same room separately.
The evaporator should collect water to prevent secondary evaporation.
The water collection container has a small water level switch to control it.
A small water pump is pumped out and discharged when it accumulates to a certain extent.
If it is convenient to start the water, connect it directly to the sewer.
If you need to control the room temperature, the condenser can be installed outdoors.
3.) Install an automatic dehumidification device in the power distribution cabinet.
Automatic dehumidification works, effectively draining the moisture in the power distribution cabinet out of the cabinet to prevent condensation.
